Summer Internship Program
At BankNorth, our Summer Internship Program offers students a full-time, paid opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the banking industry while developing valuable professional skills.
Program overview
This 8–10 week program provides interns with a well-rounded look at banking operations, including:
- Orientation – Learn about BankNorth: Our mission, values, and culture.
- Customer Service & Teller Experience – Build communication and service skills.
- Operations Review – Understand the systems and processes that keep the bank running.
- Loan Processing & Lending Review – Explore how we serve our customers’ financial needs.
- Marketing – Brand awareness and community engagement.
- Information Technology – Gain exposure to the technology driving modern banking.
- Finance & Human Resources – Learn about financial management and team development.
Expectations and opportunities
Interns are expected to:
- Demonstrate honesty, confidentiality, punctuality, and courtesy to customers and staff.
- Complete duties in a professional manner and comply with all bank policies and procedures.
- Maintain an Intern Journal throughout the program.
- Participate in community volunteer opportunities and at least one (1) community event or meeting.
- Show a genuine interest in pursuing a career in the banking industry.
- Deliver a final presentation to the BankNorth management team at the end of the internship.
